About us

Families Helping Families of Long Island is an organization that helps keep families prepared for an emergency. Our mission is to keep fellow Long Islander's in the "know" to help prepare for the unknown. This site will provide all the information you may need to get prepared for such events. To the right of most of the pages we will have YouTube video's pertaining to survival, first Aid, and gear required to be off the grid. Lets face it, we are on an island, evacuation will be tough if we all do it at the same time. So having the essentials at hand will help lessen the worry of "will we make it?" FHFLI.org is supported by families just like you. Meeting's will be held the second Friday of every month @ 7:00 PM. We will also have "Field day" every two months at a camp ground, to test survival techniques we have learned during the meetings. Remember, “Your fear is 100% dependent on you for its survival. - Steve Maraboli”
